Lydia Metzger, violinist

Lydia Metzger is an American violinist who is currently based in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. ​She graduated in December 2017 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Masters degree in violin performance. While there, she studied privately with Tyrone Grieve, Gene Purdue, and

Soh-Hyun Altino, and studied chamber music with Suzanne Beia and Parry Karp. 

Lydia has performed in numerous settings, in chamber, orchestral and solo performances in Austria and the U.S.

She moved to Alberta in the summer of 2018, where she took Suzuki violin training with Elayne Ras at the Alberta Suzuki Institute.
